The MinDA board comprises key stakeholders from the Senate, Congress, Regional Development Councils, Bangsamoro Government, private sector, and other vital entities.
Sec. Magno emphasized the administration's commitment to ensuring equitable development across Mindanao.
"The directive of the President for MinDA and for Mindanao is clear: ensure that development and assistance reach the areas where they are needed most," he stated during the meeting.
Among the resolutions passed during the session are:
-Recommending the Appointment of Mr. Antonio Peralta as a Member of the MinDA Board of Directors representing the private sector-Mindanao NGO sector.
- Authority to Invite Agencies: Granting the MinDA Chairperson the authority to invite various agencies as resource persons or observers in MinDA board meetings, especially on agenda items related to them.
-Mindanao Water Supply Program: Approving the program and requesting funding allocation from various sources through the General Appropriations Act, Official Development Assistance, and Public-Private Partnerships.
-Bagong Buhay Na Masagana: Agrikultura at Kabuhayan Ang Una Project: Approving this proposed project.
-Barangay Agricultural Extension Workers (BAEW) Bill: Requesting President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr. to prioritize this bill, include it in his State of the Nation Address (SONA), and have it certified as urgent.
-Transformational Enterprise Support for the Agribusiness Value-Chains of Mindanao (TEAM): Approving this proposed support.
-Travel Tax Exemption Policy: Urging the President to reinstate the policy for travelers departing from all international airports and seaports in Mindanao and Palawan to any destination in the BIMP-EAGA.
-Annual Mindanao Infrastructure Forum: Requesting the approval and support of the board for the conduct of this forum to inform the public on the status of major infrastructure projects in Mindanao and regular high-level meetings with implementing agencies.
-Mindanao Disaster-Resilient Resource Center: Supporting the establishment of the center, seeking the support of the President, and negotiating for the necessary land area in coordination with other appropriate agencies.
-Mindanao Crisis Management Advisory Council: Requesting the President to issue an Executive Order organizing this council, to be headed by the President or the DND Secretary, co-chaired by the MinDA chairperson, with all RDC chairs as members, and providing funds for the purpose.
-Local Soybean Value-Chain of Mindanao: Supporting the strengthening of this value-chain.
Sec. Magno assured his dedication to addressing the issues and concerns of Mindanao.
"I'll do my best; I'm here to work and serve. If any issues arise, we'll work together to find solutions. Our mission at MinDA is to ensure that Mindanao receives its fair share," he emphasized.
