Police Regional Office 11 report identified the suspect as Jonel C. Cordero, 29 years old, a resident of Barangay Andili, Mawab, Davao De Oroand Arnold O. Rabi, 32 years old, a resident of Barangay Nueva Visayas, Mawab,Davao De Oro.
The report said based on the investigation of Mawab Municipal Police Station, at around 2 p.m. of January 18, Cordero bought a gasoline at Green Planet Gasoline Station, National Highway, Barangay Poblacion, filled in a small softdrinks bottle for P10.
When he got the gasoline, Cordero allegedly pretended that he drank it and acted to be dizzy and vomiting which caused alarm to the crews of the gasoline station. The incident prompted the staff to call the MDRRMO for emergency assistance.
The emergency responders immediately arrived in the area. While the suspect was checked, he continued on his acting and pretended to be helpless as if he was poisoned by the gasoline he consumed.
When the responders asked the suspect to check his consciousness, suddenly, he spoke and told the responders that it was only a prank and that they were only making a vlog for their content together with his friend, Rabi, who was with him for the whole duration of the prank.
The report said, Rabi confessed to the responders that the vlogger only drank an energy drink which was filled inside the small softdrink bottle to appear more believable in order to accomplish his vlog successfully.
The suspects are temporarily placed under police custody for committing Alarms and Scandals which is offensive to good customs, morals and causes disturbance of public peace.
