A suspect was arrested in connection with a fatal stabbing incident in Matina Crossing, Davao City, on October 6, 2026, the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) reported.
Police identified the suspect by the alias “Mark,” a resident of Kawayan Drive in Matina Crossing. The victim, identified as “Julius,” was a construction worker residing in Palanca Village in the same barangay.
Based on the initial investigation, a witness reportedly saw the suspect fleeing through an alley near her residence shortly after the incident at around 2 p.m. The suspect was allegedly carrying a bloodstained knife.
The incident was reported to authorities at around 2:20 p.m. Responding 911 personnel found the victim and declared him dead at the scene.
Police later arrested the suspect, and the appropriate case was filed with the authorities.
