The Davao City Police Office (DCPO) said this year’s Holy Week across the city was generally peaceful and orderly.
DCPO spokesman Major Ma. Teresita Gaspan said no major crime transpired from April 10 up to 17.
A total of 524 personnel were deployed to various churches in the city with the support of other members of the security and safety cluster in tightening security and law enforcement activities, public safety, anti-criminality, and anti-terrorism.
These personnel also enforce the minimum health standard protocols which resulted in zero incident all throughout the celebration of Holy Week in the city.
Gaspan said they attributed the peaceful celebration of Holy Week through the strong collaborative and interoperability efforts of the local government unit, Task Force Davao, and other security forces.
