CAPMI spokesman Manny Galvez in a statement said their group will push for candidates who are “proven environmental advocates.”
CAPMI’s statement came after gigantic electronic billboards along EDSA and other parts of Metro Manila came screaming with a bombastic message that goes " SARA ALL FOR YOU".
Sara is CAMPI's 2017 Clean Air Champion during the celebration of the National Clean Air Month in a ceremony that was held in Davao City of the same year.
"Our multisectoral group is endorsing and supporting the candidacy of Mayor Sara Duterte in the coming 2022 Vice Presidential elections because we all believe that she can champion all our environmental advocacies nationwide when she gets elected in a national position, Galvez said.
CAPMI also expresses their wish that Sara, if she wins the elections, would become the Department of Environment and Natural Resource (DENR) Secretary.
"Our wish for Mayor Sara Duterte simply is that once she wins as the new Vice President of our country we pray that she takes the cabinet portfolio (in a concurrent capacity) as the new Secretary of the Department of Environment and Natural Resource (DENR) so she can start fixing the gargantuan problems in DENR particularly on graft and corruption.(BY JUDY QUIROS)
