DSWD lists over 6K new 4Ps beneficiaries in Davao Region
DAVAO CITY- The Regional office of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has listed 6,998 new beneficiaries to its existing 253,064 Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) households in Davao Region.

A total of 260,062 active households comprise the roster of its official beneficiaries as of March 2022.

DSWD in its report Tuesday said that these beneficiaries were identified in accordance with the National Advisory Committee (NAC) Resolution No. 43 institutionalizing a policy that allows for the continuous replacement of beneficiaries with eligible ones who are not yet covered by the program.

These replacement households await the release of their cash cards through the Land Bank of the Philippines in Batasan, Quezon City.

Aside from the new replacements, some 15,098 household beneficiaries are also on the waiting list pending the validation of their eligibility.

They shall be entitled to receive one payout period while waiting for their quality assurance results.

If found eligible, these beneficiaries are expected to join the updated roster of the program for Davao Region the following month.

4Ps is a human development measure of the national government that provides conditional cash grants to the poorest of the poor, to improve the health, nutrition, and the education of children aged 0-18.

The program also provides psychosocial and psycho-educational components through the Family Development Session, leading the beneficiaries to an improved and sustained well-being.

The 4Ps beneficiaries will receive a P750 health grant per household, educational grants for a maximum of three children per household - P700 for senior high school, P500 for junior high school, and P300 for elementary - and a P600 rice subsidy.

The payout of grants is done every two months.
