"Be very careful, then, how you live — not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil."

And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.

My God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation. He is my stronghold, refuge and saviour—from violent people, you save me.

Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervour, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

When you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet.

"Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength."

“The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”

So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you must endure many trials for a little while. These trials will show that your faith is genuine.

If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land. Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayer...

But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
