According to DCPO Acting Chief Colonel Mannan Muarip, the success of Undas 2025 is an outstanding testament to the unwavering commitment to public safety and order.
DCPO strategically mobilized all its personnel and resources to secure cemeteries, transport hubs, major roads, and other areas of convergence where Dabawenyos gathered to pay tribute to their departed loved ones.
“As a result, no untoward incidents were recorded during the entire duration of the Ligtas Undas 2025 observance—marking yet another milestone in the city’s peacekeeping efforts,” DCPO report said.
DCPO thanked its partner agencies - Task Force Davao, Public Safety and Security Office (PSSO), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Philippine Coast Guard, City Transport and Traffic Management Office (CTTMO), Central 911, City Explosives and Canine Unit (CECU), police auxiliaries, force multipliers, Barangay Officials, Barangay Tanods and the Local Government Unit (LGU)—whose collective efforts, intelligence coordination, and on-ground support ensured the smooth, safe, and orderly conduct of this annual observance.
DCPO acknowledges the active cooperation, discipline, and sense of community of the Dabawenyos, whose adherence to safety protocols and respect for public order greatly contributed to the success of the operation. The maturity and civic-mindedness displayed by the public reaffirm the city’s enduring culture of peace, unity, and cooperation.
Muarip, on the other hand commended the entire DCPO force and partner agencies for their professionalism, sacrifice, and shared commitment to public service. “We set out to ensure that every Dabawenyo could honor their departed loved ones in peace—and we succeeded together.
He said the zero-incident report is a collective victory that showcases not only the dedication of our men and women in uniform but also the steadfast cooperation of our partner agencies and the people of Davao.
The successful implementation of DCPO’s comprehensive security plan for Undas 2025 stands as a clear reflection of the organization’s adherence to the guiding principles of the D.A.V.A.O. Framework—Discipline, Action, Virtue, Accountability, and Order—by the City Director. This framework continues to drive the DCPO in promoting integrity, responsiveness, and excellence in all its law enforcement operations.
