Major Noel B Villahermosa, Talomo Chief of Police, identified the suspect through his aliases as Estrada, Boss, and Jojo, a resident of said barangay.
The suspect was arrested at around 1:05 a.m of Friday at his residence while the operating team implemented the search warrant against him.
Authorities seized 4 kilograms of suspected dried marijuana leaves and 3 grams of alleged shabu valued at about P680,000. The drug items were put in a black sling bag hanged on the wall of the suspect’s room.
Also confiscated were other drug paraphernalia, weighing scale, bamboo stick, and assorted lighters.
Villahermosa said the suspect had been the subject of test buy and previous apprehensions of drug suspects who always dropped his name as the " supplier" which prompted the police officers to apply for a search warrant against him.
Villahermosa said he hopes that the arrest of the suspect should send a strong message to criminals to stop proliferating illegal drugs in the city.
“Davao City is no safe haven for criminals. Our highly trained police officers use a range of enforcement capabilities, information sharing and intelligence with our partners to help protect the community by disrupting those seeking to spread illicit drugs and make profit from the misery of other people," Villahermosa said.
The suspect will be facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9156.
