Villar is secretary of the Department of Public Works and Highways.
Sara expressed elation over the performance of Villar particularly in the huge Davao Coastal Road project.
Sara said as per confirmation of DPWH, the Davao Coastal Road is now open but only as a recreation area for Dabawenyos like joggers, bikers, and the like for now pending its full operation.
“We thank you for pushing the project,” Sara told Villar in her Sara All For You online program today where Villar is one of the guests. Villar is included in the senator line-up of the BBM-Sara tandem.
In return Villar also thanked Sara for the city government’s support to DPWH projects like the coastal road. “The support of LGUs in DPWH projects is very important to realize the projects. I also acknowledge your full support of the project,” Villar told Sara.
When asked by Sara what are the projects he would bring to the senate if elected, Villar quickly responded he wants to continue President Rodrigo Duterte’s Build Build Build program since it is good for the economy and Filipinos in terms of jobs generation.
“ I have many ideas and priorities in the legislative branch, one of which is to continue to push for Build Build Build projects of Pres. Duterte because the economy needs it and the jobs it would create for the people,” Villar said.
“Thank you for such continuity and support for the Build Build Build projects,” Sara responded.
She said the city government is looking forward to the day when the Davao Coastal Road will be fully open for road users. (BY JUDY QUIROS)
