Davao City Police Office (DCPO) in its report identified the slain suspect as JASON DETROS LAMAAN, single, jobless, and a resident of Purok 13, Kasilak, Bucana, Brgy. 76-A.
Investigation revealed that at around 12:55 a.m, a 32-year old Julieta Bolivar Olloy sought help from personnel of Mobile 19 of San Pedro Police Station who was patrolling at said area after she was allegedly being robbed at gun point by a male person.
Lamaan was killed during a hot pursuit operation after he fired shots using a .38 revolver at the operating teams at around 1:40 a.m., prompting the operatives to defend themselves.
Accordingly, Lamaan took the victim’s cash worth P770,000 and assorted jewelries amounting to P30,000.
The suspect was positively identified by the victim who robbed her.
The police recovered all the items he took from the victim including the money.
