Regional Police 11 sends team to help victims of Typhoon Odette
The Davao Regional police on Monday (Dec. 20) sent a humanitarian team to conduct relief and rehabilitation work for the victims of Typhoon Odette in Caraga Region.

Regional Police director Brigadier General Filmore Escobal said the team, composed of 34 newly recruited patrolmen left Davao City for the humanitarian mission dubbed “Bangon Caraga”.

The contingents brought more or less P1 million worth of food packs, 500 boxes of bottled water, and other relief goods to be distributed to the victims of Typhoon “Odette” in Region 13.

In response to the call for help from the Caraga Region, the Davao Region cops immediately initiated a donation drive campaign tagged as “Bangon Caraga”.

Escobal in his message, “We are taking the shared responsibility of serving and protecting the people of Caraga Region.”

“It is always a challenge to all of us, a challenge to maintain and give our populace the best police service that we have. But we cannot do all of this alone, our healthy partnership with other law enforcement agencies together with the community is a must that enable us to effectively and efficiently perform our duties and responsibilities,” Escobal further said.

The regional police are calling for help through donations of any kind for the people of Caraga Region to help them survive, especially this Yuletide season.
