Davao City Police Office (DCPO) in its report identified the fatality as Paul John Dizon Ferraren, 28 years old, laborer, and a resident of Purok 21 Manggahan Bucana, Brgy. 76-A.
Police reports showed that the victim was onboard a PUJ along with his Mother, Jocelyn Dizon Ferraren, and live-in partner Emily Pombo, when the suspect suddenly surfaced beside the victim and shot him.
The suspect, described as wearing a face mask, black shirt, medium built, and 5’3 to 5’6 in height fired at him and escaped with his companion on a motorcycle without plate number.
The victim was then rushed to Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) but was declared dead on arrival by his attending Physician Dr. Marie Alissandra A. Pantojan.
Authorities were able to recover at the crime scene three pieces of fired cartridge cases believed to be from caliber 9mm.
The DCPO is probing the incident to determine the motive of the killing and eventually arrest the culprits.
