LTFRB okays reopening of C.P Garcia Highway bus route
City Transport and Traffic Management Office (CTTMO) head Dionisio Abude, announced the reopening of bus routes for C.P Garcia Highway under the Peak Hour Augmentation Bus System (PHABS).

Abude in an interview with Byaheng DO30 recently said that the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) Board which has previously approved the C.P Garcia Route under the Davao Interim Bus System has included the route for PHABS.

He said two bus units of the Davao Metro Shuttle Corporation have been approved for the said area.

The Davao Metro Shuttle Corporation had earlier got approval to field units for the Calinan-Catalunan Grande route.

The existing bus routes approved by the LTFRB are for Lasang and Toril, with Golden Valley Bus Line Corporation and Land Car Incorporated as approved operators, respectively.

Abude, however, said  the LTFRB has not given any update yet if they have granted a special permit for the Buhangin and Cabantian routes.

He added that the CTTMO is doing its best to address concerns about traffic congestion and passenger safety in the city.

Abude also said that aside from the five routes already approved, the LTFRB also granted a special permit for Dumper Partylist’s Libreng Sakay for Students for the Toril-Roxas, Calinan-Roxas, and Panacan-Roxas routes.

The Libreng Sakay runs from 5 a.m. to 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. until 8 in the evening. The program will run until September 22, 2022.

The student who will avail of the Libreng Sakay will just only present an ID or enrolment form.
