DAVAO CITY- Likha Residences Davao, a top-tier townhouse development project of Phinma group of companies will feature pioneering Philippine architecture, the Mañosa and Company during its grand launching on June 1 at Dusit Thani Davao.

Speaking at the P.E.P. Talks at SM Lanang Premier on Tuesday,  Alicia de la Peña-Villanueva, sales and marketing head of Likha Residences Davao said the launching event with theme “Art you can live” will basically present the design of the townhomes  which is focused on artistry, Filipino heritage, and its climate-conscious feature.

“The launching of Likha Residences will be held in a way that  our designer will be featured,” she saidadding that a special segment on Feng Shui expert is also something that the guests are looking forward to.

Mañosa & Co.,  known for its artistic elegance and innovative design concepts has Gelo Mañosa as CEO, the son of the late National Artist for Architecture Francisco Mañosa. Coming from a family of prolific creative forces that shaped modern Philippine architecture and design in the 20th century, Mañosa finds the philosophy of his father essential and relevant even to this day. He is set to grace the launching and discuss the principles behind the design of the townhouses.

When asked why Phinma partnered with Mañosa & Co., Villanueva said, “The reason why we decided to partner with them for thedesign is because we as a company value our Filipino identity. We want to create a development that essentially will be the next modern heritage house in Davao.”

Phinma  Properties, a Filipino conglomerate  founded in 1957 has a standing mission of making lives better by shaping new urban centers, providing sustainable homes, and fostering the Bayanihan Spiritto provide dignified lives for Filipinos.

“We want to be able to champion Filipino architecture, and climate-conscious features and we wanted to craft something very meticulous and something that will last for generations to come here in Davao,” Villanueva said.

“Likha wants to be able to embody that a  townhouse shouldn't be a transition home or a starter home. We want it to be a forever home, something that you can pass on to the next generation.”

One of the unique features of the Likha designer townhouse project is its climate-conscious design. “Likha Residences Davao has specific features that is only meant for the climate of the Philippines so that it is meant to last and withstand the climate of Davao essentially,” she said.

The townhomes she said is master planned to have bigger windows, balconies outside to get enough sunlight, yet lesser heat, and maximum airflow.

Some of its units will also have elevators depending on the request and need of the buyers.

Villanueva said Phinma opted to build a townhouse instead of single detached since  Davao's real estate landscape today is focused on condominiums and single detached houses. Condominiums offer the convenience of property management  and service but less space, while single detached offers space but don’t have the conveniences of perks of living in a condominium.

So we   wanted to marry both wherein a townhouse you have the services of a condominium but you own the land that you live in and you have the space as well, and this  development is master planned so you know this type of community is exclusive that you wanted to be part of.”

The three-year land development for the 1.7 hectare Likha townhouse  project consisting of 94 units along Hizon Road in Doña Asuncion, Barangay Pampanga is on track, Villanueva said. The three-storey unit includes 2 carports.

Preselling is ongoing, and most of the reservations come from Davao City-based businessmen who want to live in not so big houses, she confirmed.

Phinma is targeting to turn over 55 of the 94 units on 2027and the rest upon its full completion in 2030.

Likha’s lot areas could range from 88 to 108 square meters(sq) and floor area from 180 to 240 sq. Price of the units start  from P 20.3 million up.

Construction of the model unit is also ongoing and completion is eyed next month, Villanueva said. Judy Quiros
