The move is detailed in Executive Order No. 6 or “An Order Providing For The Lifting Of The Regulations On All Barangay, Local, And National Government Office Events Including Government-owned And Controlled Corporation Events.”
The City Information Office in a report said EO No. 6 was issued yesterday (Feb. 14).
The Order also came after the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) Resolution No. 161-A downgraded Davao City from Alert Level 3 to Alert Level 2 starting February 16 to 28.
“There is a need to ease and loosen restrictions following the decrease in the number of cases reported, the active vaccination rollout within the city, and the availability of the Molnupiravir drug,” EO 6, series of 2022 states.
All events now allowed in face-to-face, hybrid, or online platforms, include but are not limited to inauguration, anniversary, thanksgiving, ribbon-cutting, blessing, turnover, groundbreaking activity, launching a program, salo-salo, birthday, press conference, oath-taking program, photo opportunity, retirement honors, welcome honors, testimonial program, summer outing, team building, training, seminars, and all other similar activities, the report said.
Face-to-face distribution of assistance like food and non-food items during emergencies and disasters is also allowed provided these will be distributed house to house to avoid mass gathering.
