DAVAO CITY- A couple and their 13-year-old child died on the spot due to electrocution in Tagum City, Davao del Norte on Sunday (Dec. 19).
Authorities in Tagum City identified the victims as Ronaldo Capangpangan Gabucan, 45 years old, her live-in partner Antonina Orello Sasil, 45, and their 13-year old daughter Ray Ann Sasil Gabucan. They are residents of Purok 3, Barangay Busaon, Tagum City.
Based on initial investigation the victims were travelling along Purok 5 Cabugan, Brgy. Busaon going to their home on board a motorcycle which stepped on a wire sagging along the road.
Rolando tried to remove the wire for them to pass but unknowingly, it was a live wire attached to a Northern Davao Electric Cooperative (NORDECO) electric post that caused their death.
Meanwhile, NORDECO, Inc. management is assuring to give financial assistance to the family of the victims.
