Zamboanga lass gets bronze in Asian Weightliftng Chamopionship Bahrain
DAVAO CITY--A promising 17-year-old lady weightlifter from Zamboanga City won a bronze medal in the Clean and Jerk Women's 45-kg category at the 2022 Asian Weightlifting Championships held in Manama, Bahrain, from October 6–16.

Rose Jean Ramos overcame all the odds to place third in place of the international weightlifting competition, which was participated by some of the top weightlifters in Asia.

On July 22, Ramos also won four gold medals, one silver, and one bronze in the Asian Youth and Junior Weightlifting Championships in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

Ramos topped the women’s 45kg category in Snatch (70kgs.), Clean & Jerk (83kgs.), and overall (153kgs.) to win the Youth division’s championship title.

Snatch added a fourth gold medal for Snatch (70kgs.) in the junior division. The bronze medal came from the Clean and Jerk (83kgs.), and the silver medal from the overall lift of 153kgs.
