DAVAO CITY—The Davao City-based national sports association (NSA), Pilipinas Sambo, once again made the city and country proud after winning many medals in the 2023 National Open and Team Trials in Singapore on March 11–12.
On the first day of the competition alone, the team won five gold medals.
Aside from the adult Sambo practitioners, the junior team played well in the competition.
The medal winners are the following: Gold -80kgs @Johan Aiden Yap
Gold -65kgs @Aumaegel Princess Cortez
Silver @Jedd Andre in men's -79kgs and Mariah Nadora women's -59kgs
Bronze Casey Tolosa women's -80kgs
Sambo National Team junior Aeon Lance Kim won a silver medal.
Gold medal from our Sambo National Team member, Johan Aiden Yap, sambo and wrestling champion.
