With the support of Coach Gerald Ferriol and Fide Master Paolo Del Mundo, Christian is also scheduled to play in the GMG Chess Open Rapid Chess Tournament on December 31 and the Sir Herky Del Mundo Memorial Open Rapid Chess Tournament on January 3, 2023. Both events will occur at the Second Floor Open Kitchen Foodhall, Rockwell Business Center, Sheridan Street, in Mandaluyong City.

Christian recently won the Eastern Asia Youth Chess Championship, which took place from November 4 to November 12 at the Asia Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand.
Christian, 13, a student at Dasmarinas Integrated High School in Grade 8, finished with 7.5 points in nine games of the Standard time control format to win the Gold Individual Award in the Under-14 division and the conditional Fide Master (FM) title. He played under the supervision of Representative Pidi Barzaga, Mayor Jenny Barzaga, National Coach Fide Master Roel Abelgas, and Class Advisor Mrs. Melinda Calumaya.
Christian, from Panabo City in Davao del Norte, gained the most points and led the Philippine Under-14 team to a Gold Team Award in both the Rapid and Standard Events.
Christian received the Bronze Individual Rapid Award as well. He is a licensed National Master (NM) and an online Arena Grandmaster (AGM).
Ivan Travis Cu, John Cyrus Borce, and Christian received Silver Team Blitz awards.
