Davao City—JT's Manukan CR07 Food Truck won its opening day game in the first week of the 197th Acosta Cup, a ladies football tournament at Faith International Academy at Marfori St., on October 30.
JT's Manukan beat Holy Cross of Davao College Crusaders 3-2.
Marie Magdolot had a hat trick in the game as she carried her team to victory against the tough Crusaders squad.
In the other game, the match between FC Nabunturan and RMC-Solido ended in a 3-3 draw.
This year, eight teams are competing.
The tournament will run from October 30 to December 11.
Acosta Cup is an annual event started by former Councilor Mabel Sunga Acosta to promote women empowerment through their passion for the sport.(Romeo Braceros Jr.)
