Throughout 10 months, the PFF scheduled 216 football matches, beginning with the Copa Paulino Alcantara 2022, then the PFF U19 Boys National Championship 2022 First and Second Divisions, the 2022 games in the Philippines Football League, and the recently finished PFF Women's Cup.
The Philippine Women's National Team won the biggest AFF Women's Championship 2022 ever held at PFF, which also hosted a two-day international futsal friendly match between the Philippines and Guam and the Men's National Team's two home games in the AFF Mitsubishi Electric Cup 2022 against Brunei Darussalam and Indonesia.
PFF officials applauded the restart of the football competition once COVID-19's alert level was dropped.
“We are delighted that football competitions have returned all over the country,” said PFF president Mariano Araneta.
“It is important that we sustain local football growth and momentum for the coming year,” Araneta added.
In 2023, several events are planned, including the PFF U15/U16 Boys National Championship's return and the PFF U18/19 National Championship.
These contests serve as venues for talent discovery in advance of international championships and skill improvement.
