In their game, former Ateneo de Davao University high school star Francis Escandor and Davaoeno National University High School backup center and Barangay Maa resident Aaron Buensalida scored five points and nine points, respectively.

The PBA D-League is a basketball tournament organized by the PBA among the colleges and universities in the Philippines.

La Salle is joining the tournament to prepare for the next UAAP season.

Escandor is the most veteran of La Salle among the four, since he has played for the team in the previous UAAP seasons.

For his part, Buensalida accepted the offer to play for La Salle since he loves the school and the chance to play for more significant minutes after his colorful career in the UAAP high school basketball wars for many-time champion NU. (Romeo Braceros, Jr.)
