DAVAO CITY—The world-class Tibungco Dancesport Team (TDT) won eight medals in the Higala-ay Festival Dancesport National Competition 2023 held at Limkitkai Event Center, Cagayan de Oro City, on August 19.
Francis Remy Cantiberos won three medals: a silver in Waltz, a silver in tango, and a bronze in quickstep.
Cheazka Mae G. Sumaco won a bronze in Waltz; John Gabriel Marquez and Zyanne Brianna De Vera emerged as champions in Juv2C Standard and Zyanne Brianna De Vera got a silver medal in Juv2A Standard.
John Ray D. Mateo and Maria Angela Dacayo won a bronze in the Youth A standard.
Last year, the officials of Barangay Tibungco gave a certificate of recognition to the multi-awarded and internationally renowned Tibungco Dancesport Team (TDT) here for bringing honors to the city and the Philippines in general in their local, national, and international wins. (Romeo Braceros Jr.)
