DAVAO CITY---A 27-year-old pregnant woman, went viral after she gave birth inside a Palawan Pawnshop in Sitio Looc, Poblacion, Argao town, Cebu Province, around 8 a.m. on August 1.
It was learned that Emalyn Rufo and her husband were trying to get money from the said pawnshop when suddenly she started to feel labor pains and eventually gave birth.
The alert personnel of the Argao Municipal Disaster, Risk Reduction, and Management Office immediately assisted the mother and her newborn child and brought them to the Argao District Hospital for the needed medical treatment.
In view of the incident, the father plans to name the child after the owner of the widely popular pawnshop and money remittance company. (Romeo Braceros, Jr.)
