An invitation to participate in the ASICS MOVE YOUR MIND RACE 2024 in Paris, France on April 5 is extended to Sgt. Sonny Wagdos, an enlisted member of the Philippine Air Force who is presently dominating the international scene.
At the 31st Southeast Asian Games in Cambodia last year, Wagdos took home a silver medal.
In 2023, he participated in an international sports tournament in Taiwan and took home two gold medals. .In the 10,000-meter competition, Wagdos earned gold, and in the 5,000-meter competition, silver.
In the men's 5,000-meter run at the SEA Games in Cambodia, Wagdos came in second.
Wagdos posted on Facebook to share his joy at winning.
"Thank You for the Strength and Guidance, Lord God
," remarked Wagdos.
Wagdos, a 25-year-old from Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur, placed third at the Southeast Asian Games, which the Philippines held in 2019 and 2022.
At the Philsports Complex in Pasig City on April 28, 2022, Wagdos emerged victorious in the 2022 Philippine Athletics Championship, taking home the gold medal.
