The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 11 identified the suspects as alias “Enting,” 39, and his live-in partner, alias “Janice,” 37.
Authorities said the couple allegedly sold a sachet of suspected shabu worth ₱7,000 to an undercover operative during the operation conducted at around 5:18 p.m.
The operation, carried out in coordination with the Police Regional Office 11-Regional Intelligence Unit, Davao de Oro Police Provincial Office, and Compostela Municipal Police Station, also yielded nine sachets of suspected shabu weighing approximately 517 grams.
PDEA valued the seized illegal drugs at ₱3,515,600 based on the standard drug price. Authorities also confiscated drug paraphernalia and marked buy-bust money.
The seized substances were secured for documentation and laboratory examination.
The suspects are set to face charges for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, as amended.
PDEA Region 11 Director Atty. Benjamin G. Gaspi reiterated the agency’s commitment to intensifying anti-drug operations and urged the public to report suspected illegal drug activities to help keep communities safe.
