DAVAO CITY---The batters from Davao City and South Cotabato were the big winners in the Little League Philippines Baseball Championships Mindanao leg at the t Lt. C. Villafuerte, Sr. Elementary School grounds in Calinan here on May 16-19.
The Davao City batters rule the tournament's senior division after beating Maitum, Sarangani team 6-1 in the finals.
James Vincent Nisnisan of Davao City was declared the best pitcher and most valuable player in the division.
On the other hand, South Cotabato rules the junior division after beating Davao del Norte 8-7 in the finals.
The best pitcher and MVP in the tournament is Ian Paul Prondozo of South Cotabato.
Both Davao and South Cotabato advance to the Visayas-Mindanao finals with their wins. (Romeo Braceros Jr.)
