This developed after the Commission on Audit (COA), earlier released its 2024 Annual Financial Report on Local Government Units, naming Sta. Cruz being the richest municipality in Davao Region with the highest total assets of P1.980 billion.
Sta. Cruz LGU in a statement said, the distinction is a testament to the Municipality’s commitment to sound fiscal management, transparency, and responsible governance.
It said it reflects the collective effort of their officials, employees, stakeholders, and the people of Sta. Cruz who continues to place their trust in public service.
“We emphasize that this recognition goes beyond financial standing, it represents our capacity to deliver better services, strengthen local programs, and invest in sustainable development for our community. “
According to Sta. Cruz Mayor Jose Nelson Sala, the LGU remains committed to ensuring that their resources are utilized efficiently and equitably, adding that it is always guided by the principle that public funds must translate into meaningful impact for their constituents.
The LGU recognizes every Santa Cruzian, whose trust, cooperation, and shared vision for progress continue to drive the municipality forward.
