PhilHealth Davao starts Konsulta orientation in Davao de Oro
DAVAO CITY – The PhilHealth Davao Region through its Nabunturan Local Health Insurance Office (LHIO) has started its Konsulta Orientation and dry-run of the e-Konsulta system in Davao de Oro Provincial Hospital (DOPH)-Laak on June 30.

In their statement, the DOPH-Laak has recently secured its accreditation as PhilHealth Konsulta provider in Davao de Oro and is beefing up preparations to cater to members in its surrounding areas, including Loreto and Veruela, Agusan del Sur with a catchment population of 95, 930.

The statement said this initiative helped both PhilHealth and DOPH-Laak take Konsulta a step further in addressing the primary health care needs of its people and provide early intervention for minor health issues.

It said the e-Konsulta system would also aid in the provision of a wider range of services to registered members who would opt to avail of primary care services available in the facility.

Nabunturan LHIO Chief Social Insurance Officer Christopher Molina said with Konsulta, a shared responsibility is emphasized between the facility and the registered patients to the conduct of the first patient encounter.

Molina said he also coordinated with the  Rural Health Unit (RHU) of Laak to encourage its Municipal Health Officer, Dr. Julius Jaekel L. Remollo, to apply for an accreditation and enlist the facility as a Konsulta provider.

He said Remollo has since expressed his interest to submit the requirements for the said accreditation.
