PDEA 11, police nab 27-year-old suspect in DavSur drug bust; ₱780K worth of suspected illegal drugs seized
Authorities seized an estimated ₱780,000 worth of suspected illegal drugs and arrested a 27-year-old alleged drug personality during a buy-bust operation in Malalag, Davao del Sur on September 8, 2026.

Operatives from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Davao del Sur Provincial Office, in coordination with the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 11 (RPDEU 11), carried out the operation at around 11:26 a.m. in Purok Mangga, Barangay Poblacion.

The suspect, identified only as alias “Dom,” was apprehended after allegedly selling a heat-sealed sachet containing suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu worth ₱7,000 to an undercover PDEA operative acting as the poseur buyer.

Authorities also recovered three additional sachets of suspected shabu weighing approximately 57 grams in total, along with 66 plastic cellophane packets containing suspected dried marijuana leaves, five packets of suspected marijuana kush, and three vape cartridges containing suspected marijuana oil.

Various drug paraphernalia and the marked money used in the operation were also recovered.

PDEA Regional Office 11 Director Atty. Benjamin G. Gaspi said the operation underscores the agency’s continued efforts to dismantle the illegal drug trade through close coordination with other law enforcement units.

The confiscated items have been secured for proper documentation and laboratory examination.

The suspect is expected to face charges for alleged violations of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, as amended.
