The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) 11 said the suspect, identified only as Crismar, 36, a resident of Panabo City, Davao del Norte yielded around 570 grams of suspected shabu during a buy-bust operation by the joint anti-drug operatives.
PDEA reported that Crismar, a high-value target, was arrested after he allegedly sold one sachet of suspected shabu worth P5,000 to an undercover operative.
Seized during the operation were 18 sachets containing suspected shabu in varying sizes, drug paraphernalia, and the marked buy-bust money. The vehicle allegedly used in the illegal drug transaction was also confiscated.
The suspect is currently under custody and will be charged for violation of Republic Act No. 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, as amended.
PDEA 11 Regional Director Attorney Benjamin Gaspi commended the operating teams for their strong coordination and unwavering commitment in intensifying the campaign against illegal drugs in the region.
Gaspi reiterates the agency remains steadfast in its mandate to protect communities from the harmful effects of illegal drugs through sustained anti-drug operations and strengthened collaboration with partner law enforcement agencies.
