P20.5-M shabu seized in DCPO’s monthlong operations
A total of P20.5 million worth of illegal drugs were confiscated by the operatives of the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) during its Simultaneous Anti-Criminality and Law Enforcement Operations (SACLEO) from October 1 to 31.

The DCPO was able to conduct 116 anti- illegal drug operations with 134 persons arrested during this period.

DCPO in its report said the relentless war against all forms of criminality also resulted in the apprehension of 277 wanted personalities with various criminal cases.

For the anti-illegal gambling operations, DCPO successfully conducted 117 operations, arrested 234 violators, and confiscated a total of P25, 560 bet money. 

On campaign against Illegal Possession of Firearms, the Davao police arrested eight individuals and seized 18 assorted guns. 

In other accomplishments, DCPO intercepted P6,000 worth of illegal lumber.

DCPO chief Colonel Alberto Lupa lauded all performing personnel in maintaining the peace and order in the city and safeguarding the populace in partnership with the other law enforcement agencies and stakeholders.

Lupaz encourages all police officers to persevere in performing the mandated tasks, or to excel on it. 

He assures the public that the operations would continue to hinder and thwart criminals from committing offences to the community.
