The Naval Forces Eastern Mindanao (NFEM) held a Send-Off Ceremony for the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) Training Squadron ships, JS Yamagiri (TV-3515) and JS Shiranui (DD-120), on February 26, 2026, at the Port of Davao, Sasa, Davao City.
The ceremony marked the conclusion of the JMSDF’s goodwill visit, which strengthened maritime cooperation, professional exchanges, and cultural understanding between the Philippine Navy and the JMSDF. During their stay, personnel from both navies participated in shipboard tours and interaction activities that fostered camaraderie and mutual trust.
