Damosa Land President Ricardo “Cary” Lagdameo confirmed in a recent press briefing that 20% of the capital outlay will come from internally generated funds. He expressed confidence in the company’s growth, citing its 2024 achievements as a strong foundation for continued expansion.
He said, with a portfolio spanning 706,177 square meters of leaseable space, 265 tenants, and over 11,000 jobs created, Damosa Land has solidified its role as a key driver of economic and community development in Mindanao.
Expansion Plans
This year, Damosa Land will expand its footprint in key cities and explore growth in strategic industries.
Among its major projects is TRYP condotel in Samal Island, a partnership with PHINMA aimed at boosting local tourism and revitalizing the hospitality sector. Located within Costa Azalea, the 100-room, 4-star hotel will feature full amenities. The project is set for launch in September 2025, with construction beginning in the first quarter of 2026.
“We see overseas Filipinos as a major market for our real estate projects,” Lagdameo noted. “PHINMA will operate the facility, while Damosa Land will handle development.”
Strong Start in 2025
Damosa Land kicked off the year on a high note with the January 30 inauguration of Bridgeport Park’s first building. Bridgeport Park is part of Damosa Land's 13-hectare Bridgeport Mixed-Use Development in Samal Island, inspired by the East Coast architecture of the United States.
Bridgeport Park is a low-density condominium community with 273 units across four buildings.
Lagdameo confirmed a P750 million actual investment to date for the project, which spans three hectares in Barangay Caliclic, Samal Island—just 20 minutes by boat from Davao City and 5 minutes from Samal Wharf.
“We just blessed Building A (Azure) ahead of schedule on January 30. We also topped off Building B (Sapphire) and will begin interior work, targeting completion by Q4 2025, ahead of the original Q4 2026 schedule,” Lagdameo said.
Key Project Highlights:
- Bridgeport Park: 85% sold; completion of Building C (Royal) and Building D (Navy) set for 2027 and 2028, respectively.
- 66-unit Building A offers 49-85 sqm per unit
- Low-density development with two-thirds of the area dedicated to open spaces, roads, parks, and recreational facilities.
“Bridgeport Park is a testament to our commitment to world-class development. With breathtaking views of the Davao Gulf and MountApo, premium amenities, and thoughtful design, it’s more than a condominium—it’s a lifestyle,” Lagdameo said.
Bridgeport Mixed-Use Development also features TheShipyard, a 1,200 sqm exclusive events venue that can accommodate up to 500 guests. It is also home to Harborview Estates, a gated subdivision within Bridgeport, which features a lighthouse and a marina managed by the Davao Boat and Leisure Club.
Damosa Land’s 2025 plans underscore its long-term sustainable growth and innovation vision, further reinforcing its position as Mindanao’s real estate sector leader. Judy Quiros
