Proclamation No. 5, series of 2024, extended the suspension of classes to Feb. 1 in all levels and a Work-From-Home (WFH) arrangement for government employees.
Maribel Paguican, head of the Business Bureau in a report from the City Information Office (CIO) said that any extension affects both the mayor's permit and the application for retirement.
Paguican earlier said that business owners who fail to renew and apply for retirement on the given deadline might pay additional fees.
A 25 percent surcharge and a two percent [penalty] per month on top of the surcharge will be charged for businesses who fail to beat the deadline.
“If they do not wish to continue their business, they should apply for retirement because there is also a penalty if they do not retire [their business], but if they wish to continue they should do so because we will have a penalty after our deadline," Paguican said.
Applicants may go on Friday, Feb.2 at the following sites: The SP Building and Almendras Gym from 8 am to 10 pm; Gaisano Grand Citigate Mall from 8 am to 8 pm; Calinan Gym/Bunawan/Toril/Tugbok District Treasury Offices from 8 am to 7 p.m; and Paquibato/Marilog/Baguio District Treasury Offices from 8 am to 5 pm.
