6 suspected NPA rebels nabbed in Davao De Oro
DAVAO CITY- Six members of the communist New People’s Army (NPA) were arrested by the troops under Philippine Army’s 10th Infantry Division at Purok Kauswagan, Mapawa, Maragusan, Davao De Oro on Sunday (June 12).

Captain Mark Anthony Tito, 10th ID spokesman identified the arrested NPA members as Bea, Joy, Totoy, Bords, Bobong, and Jerry.

Tito,said the captured personalities were members of the NPA’s Sub-Regional Guerilla Unit (SRGU) of Sub-Regional Committee 2 (SRC2).

Major General  Nolasco A Mempin, Commander of 10ID commended the 701st Infantry Brigade together with the 66th Infantry Battalion, 1st Davao De Oro Police Mobile Force Company, and other intelligence units who were directly involved in this significant accomplishment. 

“We acknowledge and thanked the cooperation of our former rebels who wholeheartedly surrendered to the government forces and helped us in locating the remaining communist NPA terrorists who still refuse to abandon the armed struggle,” Mempin said.
