Dr. Michelle Schlosser, the spokesperson of the city’s COVID-19 Task Force, said they rolled out the mobile vaccination in said barangay in partnership with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
Schlosser said the Vaccination team were able to inoculate about 150 to 160 individuals, especially children.
“We have seen a lot of pediatric individuals there. We are very happy since we wanted to increase the number of vaccinated children aged between five to 11 years old), she said.
Schlosser said they only expected that a few people would go to the Tamugan Barangay Hall for the vaccination considering the distance from most homes.
Schlosser also said that the mobile vaccination in Tamugan catered to all age groups including five to 11, 12 to 17, and 18-above, whether they are availing of the primary, missed, or booster doses.
A medical checkup was also conducted on the residents as part of the mobile vaccination program with USAID.
The recipients had been informed about the benefits of the anti-COVID-19 vaccines.
Each of them received a kilo of rice as an incentive from the city government.
The rice incentive is available in all identified vaccination hubs in the city.
