DAVAO CITY—Batang Pinoy gold medalist Aaron Aton rules the elementary boys chess competition in the ongoing Davao City Athletic Meet (DCAA) 2023 at Magallanes Elementary School.
Aton, a student of Mintal Elementary School, won three medals in the competition.
The 11-year-old chesser won gold in the rapid and standard categories and silver in the blitz category.
Andrei Lao won the gold in the blitz category.
With their wins, both Aton and Lao will represent Davao City in the forthcoming Davao Regional Athletic Association (DAVRAA). (Romeo Braceros Jr.)
