AAK Davao nets 36 medals in Karate Tournament Virtual Championship
DAVAO CITY---The Association for the Advancement of Karatedo (AAK) Davao City Chapter ended the year 2021 with a bang by winning a total of 36 medals in the Karate Tournament Virtual Championship E-kata and E-Fantom Kumite last December 18-19, 2021.

AAK Davao won 20 golds, 10 silvers, and six bronzes in the tournament participated in by some of the top karate clubs in the world.

On November 27-28, AAK Davao also brought another honor to the city after it won 17 medals in the 15th ASKA (Advancement for the Strengthening of Karatedo Athlete) Open E-Fantom Kumite and E-Kata competition.

AAK Davao won nine golds, five silvers and three bronze medals in the tournament participated in by some of the top martial arts schools in the world.

Robert Dayanan Jr. was the top performer in the group with two golds medals.

The other gold medallists are Heleina So, Adrian Paul Ilaya, Sofia Agullo, Eaia Ching, Enrique Agullo, Aldren Solon and Raven Ryan Camins.

The silver medal was provided by Heleina So, Adrian Paul Ilaya, Leandra Raquel Pascua, Harsimar Sing Toor, and the comebacking Craig James Infiesto.

The bronze medals were won by Sofia Agullo, Ian Carlos Pascual, and Tarnpreet Sing Gill.

Last July 8-31, AAK Davao also won five bronze medals in the 2021 Women's Martial Arts Festival (Karatedo).

The AAK Davao bronze medal winners are Rhea Lu, Jamie Danielle Nirza, Eaia Xundroa Ching, Elizah Jeannie Sagarino, and Jamie Danielle Nirza.

The tournament organized by the Philippine Sports Commission was participated by some of the top women martial arts practitioners of the Philippines. (Romeo Braceros Jr.)
