“Maraming salamat po sa One Bangsamoro Movement sa tiwala at suporta. Hinding-hindi ko po kayo bibiguin. Patuloy kong ipagalalaban ang kapakanan at interes ng mga kapatid nating Muslim at kapwa Mindanaoan,” said Go, who reaffirmed his commitment to champion inclusive legislation and programs that respond to the needs of marginalized communities across the country.
The endorsement was formally announced during the 1BANGSA event held on Tuesday, May 6, where National President Maulana “Alan” A. Balangi underscored Go’s extensive track record of public service aligned with the Bangsamoro people’s aspirations for dignity, social equity, and lasting peace.
Go, who is seeking a fresh term under the number 28 slot on the official ballot, said that his efforts are grounded in the reality of his work on the ground particularly his consistent presence in the lives of Muslim and IP communities.
Among Go’s key initiatives is the expansion of Malasakit Centers across the country, including within the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), where six centers have been established. These facilities aim to simplify access to medical assistance for indigent patients, especially in underserved areas.
“Dati po, napakalayo ng kailangang lakarin para humingi ng tulong. Ngayon, may Malasakit Center na sa loob mismo ng ospital para mas mapabilis ang serbisyo,” said Go, Chairperson of the Senate Committee on Health.
He also cited his authorship of Republic Act No. 11696, or the Marawi Siege Victims Compensation Act, which provides reparation to internally displaced persons (IDPs) whose homes and properties were lost or destroyed during the 2017 siege by Islamic State-linked terrorists.
He also co-sponsored Senate Bill No. 1273, or the Equal Access to Public Cemeteries Bill, which guarantees culturally appropriate burial grounds for Muslim Filipinos and IPs, a measure grounded in respect for traditional practices.
To address systemic exclusion, Go filed SBN 2917, or the Delayed Registration of Birth Act of 2025, which simplifies and waives fees for birth registration, especially for indigent families in far-flung Muslim and Indigenous communities. This measure aims to aid an estimated 3.7 million unregistered Filipinos.
He likewise pushed for increased funding for the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF), supporting Hajj subsidies, scholarships, health initiatives, and community development programs nationwide.
“Patuloy kaming magseserbisyo sa inyo dahil bisyo ko ang magserbisyo at ako ay naniniwala na ang serbisyo sa tao ay serbisyo ‘yan sa Panginoon, serbisyo ‘yan kay Allah,” underscored Go who is known as Mr. Malasakit for his compassionate service to Filipinos in need.
