PRO 12 Regional Director Brig. Gen. Alexander Tagum in a statement said the operating units arrested the alleged gang leader identified as Miko Villamor Usman after the implementation of a search warrant in his house at Purok 2, Barangay Bannawag in the said town.
Tagum said Usman has pending cases for violation of Republic Act 10591, the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act and RA 9165 the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
He said operatives seized from the premises of Usman’s house, a .38 revolver caliber with ammunition, an empty bullet along with four sachets believed to be shabu weighing 1.08 grams with an estimated amount of P7,000.
The Socsargen's top cop said the arrested suspect, along with the confiscated evidence, were immediately brought to President Quirino Municipal Police Station while Usman will be subjected for Medical Examination.
Tagum said he commended the successful arrest of the suspect and gave a warning to the lawless elements who are out to sow violence in the region.
“We will intensify our measures to arrest personalities who pose a threat to the peace and order of the community. We will not stop, not until we achieve a drug-free community, ” he said. (Armando Fenequito)
