Sultan Kudarat once again proved its reputation for producing some of the best quality Robusta coffee as Roan Basco from Senator Ninoy Aquino town claimed Top 1 in the Robusta Category of the Southeast Asia Green Coffee Competition, one of the featured events of the International Coffee Innovation Summit 2025.
Also finishing in the Top 12 were fellow Sultan Kudarat growers Orlando Bayudan at Top 6, Reyjohn Basco at Top 9, and Denz Bert Deramos at Top 12, marking a strong showing for the province on the international stage.
Meanwhile, Vietnam champions in Liberica Category while Thailand conquered the Arabica.
The event is being held from October 5 to 9 at the Sultan Kudarat Convention Center in Tacurong City, gathering coffee farmers, processors, and buyers from Indonesia, Thailand, Taiwan, South Korea, Singapore, Vietnam, China, Laos, Myanmar, and the Philippines.
