Mayor Ernesto Evangelista and Liga ng mga Barangay President Ricky Inodioan led the ceremonial turnover on February 19 at the Barangay Salvacion Covered Court.
Barangay Salvacion village chief Ronald Galo received the symbolic key from Evangelista during the turnover ceremony of Patient Transport Vehicle on Saturday.
Evangelista said this vehicles for Barangay Salvacion will be a big help especially in giving emergency services to their residents.
"Dako akong pasalamat kay si Kapitan Galo naay panglantaw ug inisyatibo na mapakusgan ang health ug emergency services dinhi sa level sa iyang barangay,” Evangelista said.
Evangelista said he believed that the provision of a vehicle would boost the efficiency of the Barangay Salvacion’s disaster and health emergency team since they have logistic support already provided by the Santo Tomas LGU and the Barangay Salvacion through a counter-parting scheme.
Meanwhile, Inodioan said the vehicles provided by the Evangelista administration to various barangays are expected to uplift the standard of emergency and disaster management in barangay level.
Inodioan said that the present #AksyonSaKalusugan and #ListoSiTomas programs of the present administration will not only strengthen the program in various barangays but also contribute to further fostering a strategic implementation of essential health and emergency services between the Barangay and Municipal government.
“Isip Presidente sa Liga ng Mga Barangay, dako akong pasalamat sa kang Mayor Erning kay tungod nahimong stragetic ang pag-implementar sa mga programa ubos sa iyang administrasyon,” he said.
To date, the local government provided PTVs to Barangay Kimamon and Barangay Salvacion while PTV for Barangay New Katipunan will be turned-over soon.
Inodioan said these PTVs will enhance the maintenance of peace and order and the provision of immediate medical attention and/or rescue in times of emergencies to the constituents of the barangays.
