MUARIP LEADS INSPECTION OF CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE AT BYPASS TUNNEL
Davao City Police Office acting City Director Colonel Mannan Muarip conducted a comprehensive inspection of the ongoing construction of the Davao City Bypass Tunnel on August 29, 2025 located in Barangay Waan, Davao City.

The  inspection focused on the critical components of the 2.3-kilometer twin-tube mountain tunnel, an engineering centerpiece of the 45.5-kilometer Davao City Bypass Construction Project. With the southbound tunnel nearing its breakthrough phase and the northbound tunnel undergoing technical refinements, he emphasized the importance of sustained coordination between law enforcement and engineering teams to ensure construction safety, ground stability, and uninterrupted progress.

‎“This infrastructure represents not only a milestone in regional connectivity but also a testament to our collective resolve in building a safer, more mobile future for Davao and its neighboring communities,” Muarip  said during the site visit.

‎The Davao City Bypass Tunnel, once completed, is expected to significantly reduce travel time between Davao City and Panabo City, enhance disaster response capabilities, and bolster economic activity across the region. Muarip's presence underscores the Philippine National Police’s proactive role in supporting flagship infrastructure projects that advance national development and public welfare.
