Dela Salle University to Establish Campus in Davao City's Global Township
Following National University’s announcement, another premier UAAP school, De La Salle University (DLSU), is set to establish a campus in Davao City. The new campus will rise within the 22-hectare Davao Global Township (DGT) property along McArthur Highway, Matina.

Frederick Yuson, president of YHEST Realty and Development, confirmed during the DGT Christmas Tree lighting ceremony on November 28 that the groundbreaking ceremony for the DLSU campus is scheduled for March 2025. This event is timed to coincide with the Araw ng Davao celebration, further highlighting the city’s commitment to educational and cultural growth.

“The addition of De La Salle University to the Davao Global Township is a significant milestone, bringing world-class education closer to Davaoeños and Mindanaoans,” Yuson said.

This announcement positions Davao City as an emerging educational hub in Mindanao, following the recent establishment of other top-tier institutions like National University and the University of Santo Tomas, which opened a campus in nearby General Santos City.
