DCPO reported that as part of the enhanced security protocol, mandatory inspection of bags belonging to students, teachers, school personnel, and visitors is being strictly enforced before entry into the school premises to prevent the entry of contraband, deadly weapons, or any suspicious items.
To further strengthen school security, personnel from the City Explosive and Canine Unit (CECU) remain deployed to conduct continuous EOD and K9 paneling operations inside and outside school premises. These proactive security measures are intended to detect and prevent potential threats, provide reassurance to students, teachers, and school personnel, and help ensure a safe and secure environment conducive to learning.
The DCPO continues to work closely with the Regional Anti-Cybercrime Unit (RACU) in the ongoing investigation to identify the individual responsible for the bomb threat posted through a Facebook account.
To further strengthen public awareness, the DCPO carried out continuous information dissemination through public address system announcements, reminding students, teachers, and visitors to immediately report any unattended baggage or suspicious objects and to refrain from touching or moving such items.
