A 33-year-old teacher was shot by an unidentified gunman at Purok 7, Barangay Poblacion, Magsaysay, Davao del Sur, on the night of September 25, 2025.
The victim was about to close his sari-sari store when the suspect suddenly fired twice, hitting different parts of his body. He was rushed to Davao del Sur Provincial Hospital and later transferred to another hospital for further treatment.
Responding police officers recovered two fired cartridges and two deformed slugs of still unknown caliber at the crime scene. The recovered items are now under custody for ballistic examination.
The suspect fled to an unknown direction. Authorities have yet to determine the motive behind the shooting.
