Tenorio is ready to go back to practice with Ginebra.
He is cancer free.

After fighting cancer for the past six months, LA Tenorio has been told by doctors that he is healthy. He may be able to resume playing basketball very soon. Coach Tim Cone shared the news on Tuesday and said that Tenorio can start practicing within a few days. Tenorio had a check-up in Singapore and there were no signs of cancer.

Tenorio went to the Lion City to have chemotherapy treatment because he had been diagnosed with Stage 3 colon cancer.

Tenorio had to stop playing in 744 games in a row because he wasn't feeling well, and now he needs to focus on being strong and healthy so he can continue to be known as the Philippine Basketball Association's "Iron Man".

“God is good. ” Tenorio wrote on X as he got ready to go back to Manila and work with Cone at Inspire Sports Academy for Gilas Pilipinas’ training for the Hangzhou Asian Games (Asiad). Tenorio is one of Cone’s assistants at Gilas, one of the jobs he has during his recovery time.

A video of a Gilas practice that was open to the public showed that Tenorio was even assisting in going through one of Cone's plays.

The previous member of Gilas team had company during his recent trip to Singapore.

His wife Chesca, along with Mark Caguioa and Paolo Taha who used to play for Ginebra but now play for NorthPort, were also present during Tenorio's final chemotherapy session.

Cone expressed relief and happiness that Tenorio has fully recovered considering the problems they and the Gilas team faced recently.

Because four players might not be allowed to join the Hangzhou Asiad, Gilas had to quickly make changes to their plans in order to prepare faster.

Everything is good now. "It has been a series of ups and downs," said Cone.
