Marilou Impuesto, the Institutional Services Manager of NORDECO said that the program is part of the electric cooperative’s vision towards accreditation of skilled electricians as partners in the implementation of the Rural Electrification Program and Sustainable Rural Development.
The 35 trainees have passed the examinations and training in competency including the Occupational Health and Safety Procedures.
Impuesto said the activity is also one of the corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs of NORDECO, Inc. aimed at improving the applications for electric service connections through accreditation of electricians.
Impuesto further said that NORDECO continues to implement training and programs for the empowerment of the Member-Consumer-Owners.
The activity was held at the town’s municipal gym on November 10.
